Indexes of efficiency of government spending

The most affordable way to evaluate the efficiency of public spending at the macro level is the index of effectiveness of government spending (PSP) and the index of efficiency of government spending (PSE). The main disadvantage of these indices is a need for a "reference point" - a vast database for comparison to other countries. In this paper we made the calculation of indices for Belarus in comparison with other Eastern European and post-Soviet countries.
