Support of maternity in Belarus

Most developed and developing countries introduce measures to support and encourage fertility, motherhood and fatherhood. The most common measures are the maternity leave, child care; direct financial incentives, such as child allowances and maternity capital; and providing institutions for the care of children. This article briefly analyses the leave to care for a child and the parent capital and offers recommendations for Belarus.
