This study analyses the activity of business unions and effectiveness of National Business Platform of Belarus as seen by the small and medium businesses. It is based on the results of the survey of private business, which is annually held by the IPM Research Center. The survey shows an increase in the participation of SMEs in the activities of business unions, which results from a more optimistic view of what happens in the economy, the government's activity and the state of corruption. The results also show that SMEs generally support the basic ideas of the National Business Platform of Belarus. This support has increased in recent years. The positive assessment of the results achieved by the platform also increases, including the efforts to consolidate business community and improve the business climate. The increasing support of the Platforms and greater participation of enterprises in business unions may demonstrate a general trend of growing dialogue between government and business.
