On the way to economic growth: potential of market institutions development in Belarus

The book consists of 8 articles which represent the analysis of role and prospects for the development of certain market-based institutions. Such institutions might stimulate further transition of Belarusian economy in the direction to higher effectiveness, and build appropriate conditions for sustainable economic growth. In the book the institutions within the following areas are concerned: administration and privatization of agricultural assets, public finance, capital markets, and independent infrastructure regulactions, public policy facilitating SME development, invesment agencies, as well as impact assessment of state regulatory policy. The assessment of the development potential of given institutions was made on the basis of comparison with the experience of foreign economies.
